LiveQuiz WordWarrior Rules

Interactive WordWarrior Basics

General Concept
WordWarrior is both a daily game and an interactive game that is broadcast to a chat room by a live game host to players who compete with one another in real time.

There are three main differences between the daily and interactive versions.

1. Words the are entered but do not appear in the online dictionary may be submitted for inclusion in the daily version only. In the interactive game, all words entered must already exist in the online dictionary.
2. In the interactive version, the first player who enters a given word is the only player who scores points for that word.

3. Bonus words are used in the interactive version.

Game Content

Game Block
Each game of interactive WordWarrior consists of a single game block. The game block consists of 20 letter queues from which words must be formed during play.

Letter Queue
Letters queues may range in length from 60-150 letters. All the letter queues in a game are the same length.

Letter Display
The letter display is the rack of seven letters from which a word must be made to advance play. When a word is entered its constituent letters are removed from the rack and replaced with the next letters in the letter queue.

Scoring

Word Value
The value of each word is determined by the value of its constituent letters and its word length value.

Bonus Words

Bonus words are special words used in the interactive version of WordWarrior only. Five bonus words are randomly selected from the online dictionary before each round of play. The first player to enter a bonus word earns double word value. Everyone else who enters the same bonus word during the round earns word value.

Bonus word scoring applies not only to the five selected bonus words, but to any other words contained within the bonus words themselves.
EXAMPLE BONUS WORDS:   HEARTS PENNY AIRPLANE SADDLE CLOUT

In the example above, the following would be scored as bonus words:
HEAR, HEART, HEARTS, EAR, ART, ARTS, PEN, PENNY, AIR, AIRPLANE, PLAN, PLANE, LANE, ANE, SAD, SADDLE, ADD, ADDLE, CLOUT, LOUT, OUT
