LiveQuiz InQuisition Rules

InQuisition Basics

General Concept
InQuisition is an interactive trivia quiz that is broadcast to a chat room by a live game host to players who compete with one another in real time.

Trivia Questions
Game questions are organized by topic and difficulty level. The more difficult the question, the higher the point total awarded for a correct answer.

Game Content

Game Blocks
Games are organized in game blocks. A game block consists of 20 questions, four topics of five questions organized from easiest to hardest.

Question Selection
Some hosts run their games by firing questions in random order. Others permit players to select the order in which questions are asked.

Question Types

Normal
Standard scoring rules apply. Everyone sees other player's answers.

Gambit
Players may wager up to 4 times the question value.

Blind
No one sees other player's answers.

Blind Gambit
Both Gambit and Blind applicable.
Players may make suicide wager of 10 times the question value.

How To Answer

Sending Your Answer
As soon as a question appears you can immediately begin typing your answer.

Send your answer in by hitting [Enter] on your keyboard or

Correctness
Correct answers score full question value. Answers marked partially correct score partial value. Incorrect answers result in a penalty.
Intelligent abbreviations are accepted by most game hosts---however all abbreviation is done at the player's risk.

Speed
The faster you answer, the more points a correct answer will earn. A bonus score is added to each correct answer based on speed. In addition, the first few correct answers earn medals and a medal bonus.

Lemming
If you don't know an answer you are always free to copy someone else's answer or use the AutoLem feature from the Player Menu.

Chumming
Chumming is send a fake answer. The purpose of sending a fake answer is to entice other players to copy, which results in a penalty for those who copy if the answer is wrong. The player sending the fake answer is never penalized.

Bagging
If you know an answer and don't think anyone else knows, you can wait until the last possible moment to send it. This helps prevents other players from lemming your answer.

Restriction Mode

Restriction
LiveQuiz players are not permitted to click anywhere outside the GamerX10 interface while restriction mode is active.
Restriction begins each time a new question is displayed. Submitting an answer does not lift restriction, which persists until the round is terminated.
Blinkers under the text entry area flash red when restriction mode is active.

Violation
Accessing another program during restriction causes GamerX10 to raise a violation. Raising a violation means the player forfeits the ability to answer the current question. If the player has already answered the question, that answer will be marked incorrect.
