General Requirements

Operating System

Windows Vista, WinXP, or Win2000 is required to compete in ChatGames.

Browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above is required to compete in ChatGames.

Software

GamerX10 is required to compete in ChatGames.

 

Live Quiz Terminology

Bagging

Knowing the answer to a question, but not sending it in until the last possible moment in order to minimize the chance of copying by other players.

Blind

A round of play in which answers submitted by other players are not visible.

Chumming

Purposely sending a wrong answer during a round of play in the hope of inducing other players to copy.

Gambit

A round of play in which players may bet whether or not they can correctly answer the question.

Lemming

Copying another player's answer and submitting it as your own.

Kill

A game question which no player is able to answer correctly.

 

Player Settings

Email Address

The email address you specify when you register your player name is used to notify you if you qualify for any monthly tournament. It is also used to forward messages from your teammates if you've joined a team. You can edit your email address after you log in.

Local Time

The local time you specify when you register your player name is used to synchronize live game schedules and tournament times with your timezone. You can edit your local time after you log in.

Player Picture

Players may submit a photo of themselves or of their alter ego to display alongside their player names on the scoreboards and champions lists. You can submit your photo after you log in.

 

Team Play

General Information

Teams are groups of up to 4 players who compete against one another on a monthly basis.

Joining A Team

You can submit a request to join any team after you log in. Each team has a team captain who decides to accept or reject membership requests.

Creating A Team

You can submit a request to create your own team after you log in.

Once your request is approved you can use team manager tools to add or remove up to 3 additional players.

Quitting A Team

Team members may quit at any time.
